FireKeepers Casino Hotel

Battle Creek, Michigan

The exterior of the new hotel and events center borrows fine materials and detailing from the existing building. These materials enhance and unify the guest experience. The Hotel tower with 243 Guestrooms including 25 suites and 2 presidential suites and provides the opportunity to add to the existing materials with the need for large expanses of glass. Building upon the signature vertical logo the design team will integrate this element to become an iconic building element. The new tower will use color in a more dramatic way. The curve of the podium will provide for added clarity and emphasis for the new entry. The Porte Cochere will act not only as an entry for hotel guests, but will act as an auxiliary entry for poker, VIP’s and non-smoking slots.

Following the lead from the dramatic contemporary exterior the interior design will restate the clean crisp lines in a manner that will positively impact the guest experience. The mixture of natural stone, warm wood veneers, and plush textured carpets will provide a pleasant relaxing backdrop for guests as they prepare for a day of gaming and entertainment. The grand Lobby will feature an exciting feature element which, will become the most referred to element of the property. Every public space will speak to the clean contemporary design statement as established by the property including a 150 seat 24/7 restaurant and a concierge lounge.

The indoor pool will become an oasis of green, and blue. The contemporary forms will be translated into pools with gently splashing waterfalls and edgeless pools. The vision for this space includes a multi level pool along with steam room, sauna and whirlpool.
